What the heck is a scalable brand?

Most small business owners don't know what to do when it comes to designing a great brand. I guide them through the design process so that their brand can scale cohesively as their business expands.

A cohesive brand means that your customer can recognize your brand no matter what marketing materials they are looking at, even when you logo isn't present! A truly successful brand incorporates your logo, set colors, specific font choices, patterns & textures, a consistent voice for written content, and more. It can feel very overwhelming when trying to tackle all of that by yourself, and you don't have to. If you like what you're reading, then click the Dang Button below and let's start building your brand.

Below you'll find a selection of brands that I've worked with recently.
Take a look to see how I might be able to help your brand become successful.

A new logo for a world leader in a niche market.

Acclima contacted me about revamping their brand so that it could be on par with the quality of their products. Their soil monitoring sensors produce incredibly precise readouts of the water content in the soil so that farmers and turf managers know how to more effectively water their crops. I had never heard of this sort of thing, so I definitely learned a thing or two.

A local holistic practitioner gets a new look to stand out.

The majority of energy practitioners that I have seen suffer when it comes to branding. My client wanted to stand out with a solid foundation to build her business on. At the end of the day your brand needs to communicate what you stand for, and maybe tell a story along the way.

This branding coupled with the owner's hard work boosted profits exponentially from 2016 to 2017. We're talking tens of thousands!

The branding needed to communicate peace and tranquility without becoming corny. The name Red Thread comes from a Chinese proverb that talks about an invisible red thread that connects two people who are destined to meet regardless of the circumstances. It also states that the thread may twist and tangle, but it will never break. We wanted to illustrate that with the red line spanning from side to side, while each circle about the lotus represents the people that my client has been able to help.

Refining a brand based on research and data.

During my time working as the Art Director for Monkey Bar Storage, I was able to help them refine their brand and vastly expand their brand assets to better reach their target demographic. We started with brand colors and fonts, and refined the photography and video styles. I developed their brand style guide, brochures, catalogs, website, and much more.

Same idea, better execution.

Sometimes the idea behind the logo isn't the problem, it's in the execution. Dura-Bilt Transmissions has a great reputation in Idaho Falls, ID for being precise, skilled, and honest in their repair work, but their logo looked clunky, inconsistent, and sloppy. We fixed that by making everything consistent, refining their color choices, and ultimately making a mark that was usable.

Old & Clunky The old logo was very inconsistent in the letterforms for Dura-Bilt, plus the gears going behind the letters made it difficult to read. The logo needed help.

New & Shiny The new mark introduced custom lettered slab-serif letterforms which coupled with the gears no longer going behind the letters, is perfectly legible at small and large sizes. I also adjusted the colors to be more appealing and vibrant. The gears also received a facelift with thicker line weights.

Standing out from the crowd... Like a blacksheep.

The owner's of Blacksheep contacted me because they wanted a crisp, clean logo that would represent the high quality work they do. They liked the idea of having a simple profile of a big horn sheep that would symbolize power while still being elegant.
