Branding Retainer Process
Son of Erik Design has developed a graphic design and branding retainer model to help spread out the investment of working with us.
With our retainer model, we will work through our Whole Shebang branding package over the course of a year, plus any design items that come up along the way.
Phase 1 | First Quarter
Brand Discovery & Logo Design
We’ll dig deep into your company and your target audience to determine the overall direction of your brand. After that, logo design, baby!
Phase 2 | Second Quarter
Squarespace Website
While we’re neck deep in logo designs, we’ll have you working on the written content for your website. You know what you do better than us, but don’t worry, we’ll proofread and wordsmith wherever needed.
Phase 3 | Third Quarter
Marketing Materials
Here we’ll tackle all of your print marketing materials and day-to-day items that need to be branded and reworked.
Business cards to social posts to large marketing like vehicle wraps too. We can handle pretty much anything.
Phase 4 | Fourth Quarter
Maintenance & Education

Branding questionnaire and initial meeting to gain a better understanding of your business, existing branding, and competitors. We also utilize Pinterest with you as an idea-gathering tool. This phase is all about discovering the direction for the design work to come.

The keystone to your branding archway, your logo holds your visual identity together. We will sketch and refine ideas that fit what we found during the discovery phase. We will present 3 logo options to you with mockups to show how the logo might work in the real world.
Your favorite option will be selected and refined through 3 major revisions. We will export the logo into all colorways and file formats that you will need.
Business card design works with the same process.

Squarespace has become our bread and butter for website building. It is a sleek, easy-to-use platform that is incredibly powerful.
We have you write the content for the site, which we then proofread and wordsmith as part of the package. We highly encourage all of our clients to have professional photography taken for the website. It is invaluable to have beautiful and clear images throughout the site.
Up to 10 pages with proofreading and editing of the text and images provided by you.
1 Month of support and full ownership.
Training on how to manage your new Squarespace website.

Working directly with you, we will determine what custom design items you need to cement your brand identity.
Think about brochures, vehicle graphics, banners, trade show displays, presentation templates, catalogs, booklets, etc. We’ve got you covered.

A full logo package with all of the file formats you will need, including vector, for web and print.
I will also provide a 1-2 page document showcasing each layout of the logo and its various colorways. This document will also have your brand colors and font suggestions shown for your reference.
You will also receive your business card in a print-ready PDF file.
Ownership of the website will be transferred to you at the launch of the site.
